Job summary

Schneider Electric in Apodaca, Mexico invites an Electromechanical Design Intern to turn ideas into real products. You will develop Low Voltage Equipment in an R&D environment, collaborating with experienced engineers and contributing to real design and product-development tasks.

You will create 3D CAD models in Creo, assist with tolerances, learn manufacturing best practices, and gain hands-on experience from cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Mechanical or Mechatronics Eng, graduating Dec 2027 or later.
• Preferably 7th or 8th semester.
• Basic manufacturing processes understanding.
• Experience with CAD software, Creo preferred.
• Interest in electromechanical design and hands-on learning.
• Strong teamwork and customer-focused mindset.
• Clear communication in English.
• GD&T, PLM, Excel or prototyping knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and update 3D CAD models and drawings in Creo Parametric.
• Support electromechanical and sheet metal components design.
• Assist with basic tolerance analysis to improve quality and reliability.
• Learn and apply design and manufacturing best practices.
• Support prototype assembly and testing and validate ideas in real products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Industrialization, Manufacturing).
• Use Excel to support data analysis and engineering documentation.
