Overview

Come join the new Vestas Blades Process Engineering organization. This organization is characterized as a co-located & process engineering team focused on developing and supporting the rest of the organization with subject matter experts (SMEs). An organization that embeds skilled engineering directly into the manufacturing value stream and enables faster decision-making and deeper process ownership and Knowledge. Responsibilities

As an Operational Support Engineer at Vestas, you will play a key role in improving the Handling and Logistics processes for wind turbine blades pats and whole blades. If you do not have a deep knolled withing Handling & Transport of blades, you will have high motivation to get it. Your improvements shall support process stability and capability to improve overall business performance; Safety Quality Delivery and Cost (SQDC).

• Facilitate continuous improvement on Handling and Transport processes across the manufacturing sites.
• Analysis of AS IS and future state and be motivated to improve activities
• Create and maintain a plan for improvement
• Create the needed Engineering Change Notices (CN’s)
• Leading improvement tasks / projects
• Case handler on an escalation process, used when factories cannot progress the production – meaning it is both urgent and most of the time critical to get solved fast.
• Be part of building a culture of excellence, innovation, and responsibility
• Investigating and solving production issues using structured methods such as the 5x Whys, Fishbone Diagrams.
• Applying continuous improvement principles using quality tools like Lean.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineer or alike
• GB Lean

Experience

• About 6-8 years of experience in similar roles as described above

• Leading improvement tasks
• Analyses Handling & Logistic processes
• Transport tool specification
• Process flow creation
• Focused on optimization and standardization within manufacturing processes with use of the toolbox also mentioned above.

Core competences

• A blend of technical, analytical, and operational competencies tailored to Handling & Transport and continuous improvement.
• Skills in process design and optimization related to Handling & Transport.
• You are interested and willing to spend time in the factory environment as required to understand and solve problems
• Data-Driven Decision Making, use of data analytics tools such as lean.
• Use of tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and FMEA to identify and solve Handling or Logistic issues.
• You are self-motivated; result-oriented and possess great organizational discipline
