Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo, México, seeks a Gym Coordinator to deliver a premium fitness and wellness experience for resort guests. You will support classes, trainings, and daily gym operations while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment.

You will engage with guests, promote healthy lifestyles, and contribute to a world-class luxury resort experience. Fluency in English and a passion for guest wellbeing are essential.

Formación

• Minimum 6 months of experience in a fitness facility, hotel, spa, or similar luxury setting.
• Fundamental knowledge of fitness, wellness, and nutrition best practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine guest-service mindset.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and professional guest interaction.
• Proficiency in English with strong reading, writing and speaking skills.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with hotel operating systems; Book4Time preferred.
• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to uphold high service standards.

Responsabilidades

• Support guests in fitness and wellness activities, classes, training sessions, inductions, and general gym duties.
• Maintain knowledge of resort events, VIP guests, groups, offerings and amenities to provide personalized assistance.
• Ensure safety procedures for Fitness Center equipment and spaces are followed.
• Collaborate with Gym Coordinator and fitness team on daily workouts and programming.
• Prepare, set up, and break down fitness amenities at shift start and end.
• Monitor the Fitness Center to ensure a safe, organized, and welcoming environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the Fitness Center to resort standards.
• Respond to guest questions and requests with professionalism and care.

About the role

As Gym Coordinator, you will play an important role in delivering an exceptional fitness and wellness experience for Resort guests. You will provide personalized assistance across fitness activities, classes, training sessions, and daily gym operations while ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with guests, promote healthy lifestyles, and contribute to a world-class luxury Resort experience.

What you will do

• Support guests in all aspects of fitness and well-being, including fitness classes, training sessions, inductions, and general gym activities.
• Maintain strong knowledge of the Resort's daily events, VIP guests, in-house groups, guest offerings, and amenities to provide knowledgeable and personalized assistance.
• Ensure guests understand and follow safety procedures related to the use of Fitness Center equipment and facilities.
• Collaborate with the Gym Coordinator and Fitness team to develop and promote the daily "WOD - Workout of the Day."
• Prepare, set up, and break down fitness amenities and equipment in all designated areas of the Fitness Center at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Monitor the Fitness Center to ensure a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for all guests.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the Fitness Center to the highest Resort standards.
• Respond to guest questions and requests with professionalism, attentiveness, and a genuine commitment to personalized service.

What you bring

• Minimum 6 months of experience working in a fitness facility, hotel, spa, or similar environment, preferably within a high-end or luxury hospitality setting.
• Fundamental knowledge of fitness, wellness, and nutrition best practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for guest service.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and the ability to interact confidently and professionally with guests.
• Proficiency in English, including strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of Book4Time or a similar operating system is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to maintain high service standards in a fast-paced Resort environment.
• A positive, proactive, and team-oriented approach with a passion for health, fitness, and guest well-being.
