Baker Hughes in Mexico seeks a Field Specialist I to coordinate and oversee field-site work, providing quality service to customers. You will plan, direct the crew, and handle equipment for installation and maintenance of turbo machinery, under supervision.

Excellent English is required; willingness to travel up to 80% of the time and comply with HSE policies and Baker Hughes procedures. Growth opportunities exist within a global energy technology leader.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering, or 1–2 years of field service or installation experience.
• Strong ability to understand and implement technical drawings (Mechanical drawings, P&ID, Instrumentation, etc.).
• Excellent English fluency, both spoken and written.
• Willingness and availability to travel worldwide around 80% of the time (on and offshore).

Responsabilidades

• Learn and assist crew during Installation and/or Maintenance at customer sites.
• Execute maintenance/installation of Turbo machinery rotating equipment under supervision.
• Interact with mentor and supervisors to perform assigned tasks safely and correctly.
• Follow Baker Hughes processes and procedures and uphold HSE standards.
• Support other crew members and perform related duties as required.

Job Description Summary

• Under direct supervision (On The Job Training REQUIRED) receives and follows specific detailed instructions.
• Learn and assist other crew members during Installation and/or Maintenance activities at Customer Sites.
• He/she is responsible for learning to execute maintenance/installation of Turbo machinery rotating equipment and for assisting other crew members in performing the assigned scope of work.
• Primarily interacts with assigned MENTOR or direct supervisor and other specialists/supervisors in the group.
• Executes all required responsibilities safely and as instructed by direct supervisors, following all IET Gas Technology Service applicable processes and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as required.
• Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and Baker Hughes Core Values.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in mechanical and electrical engineering, or 1 - 2 years of experience in the field of service or installation position in the Rotating Equipment industry
• Ability to understand and implement technical drawings (Mechanical drawings, P&ID, Instrumentation, etc.)
• Strong Mechanic attitude
• Excellent English fluency, both spoken and written (Will be evaluated)
• Willingness and availability to travel worldwide 80% of the time (on and offshore).
• Legally authorized to work in Mexico and eligible to work across the border, such as in Canada, Europe, and the USA
