Baker Hughes seeks a tax compliance professional to manage indirect and direct taxes across assigned entities. This role involves supporting audits, ensuring tax compliance, and collaborating with finance teams to improve processes and support ad hoc projects.
- Execute tax compliance for indirect and direct taxes of assigned legal entities in Canada and the Caribbean Region.
- Support AR WHT reconciliation and the creation of WHT certificates.
- Assist with tax audits from a transactional perspective, seeking proactive and efficient ways to minimize manual work.
- Analyze and prepare accounting adjustments to ensure the tax position aligns with the General Ledger (GL).
- Maintain and update tax trackers to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of tasks.
- Collaborate on Tax Asset Monetizations initiatives and provide operational support to the Regional Tax Team.
- Liaise and work collaboratively with the broader tax and finance organizations.
- Proactively seek process improvements and automation opportunities.
- Support other ad hoc projects as they arise.
