PSC Industries in Guadalajara, Mexico is seeking an experienced Grocery / FMCG Buyer to strengthen our purchasing team. The role focuses on expanding our product portfolio, negotiating better costs and terms, and developing supplier relationships to support our USA and European market ambitions.

The ideal candidate has solid Mexican grocery/FMCG experience, a network of suppliers, and the ability to identify new opportunities and manage multiple suppliers and projects.

Formación

• Proven experience as a Buyer in grocery/FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of the Mexican grocery and FMCG market.
• Experience with suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, or import/export.
• Existing network of industry contacts is highly desirable.
• Strong negotiation, pricing, and payment terms.
• Proactive, independent worker with strong communication skills.
• English proficiency of 80–90% for international coordination.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and develop new suppliers, brands, and product opportunities within the Mexican grocery and FMCG industry.
• Use market knowledge and industry contacts to expand the company’s product portfolio.
• Identify products with strong potential for international markets, particularly the USA and Europe.
• Negotiate and improve product costs, payment terms, minimum order quantities, discounts, and other commercial conditions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and industry contacts.
• Evaluate supplier offers and identify opportunities to improve purchasing margins and profitability.
• Manage assigned suppliers and purchase orders, including follow-up on availability, production, and delivery timelines.
• Proactively identify alternative suppliers and solutions for existing products.
• Stay informed about market trends, new brands, and relevant product opportunities.
• Work closely with Sales, Logistics, Finance, Compliance, and other internal teams.
• Maintain accurate supplier, product, and purchasing information in the company’s ERP system.
