Allianz Partners in Mexico seeks a Governance Manager, Accounting & Reporting Specialist to ensure the integrity of financial reporting for its entities in Mexico. The role focuses on governance, controls, and compliance with IFRS, Mexican accounting standards, and tax regulations.

As a senior finance expert, you will drive remediation, collaborate with external auditors and regulators, and support audit activities, while leveraging AI and data analytics within our governance framework.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional accounting certification is an asset.
• Fluent English is required; Portuguese is an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with IFRS, Mexican GAAP, regulatory requirements, and Allianz Group standards.
• Act as the accounting governance lead for the entities within scope, ensuring the consistency and appropriateness of accounting methods, policies, and controls.
• Monitor balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting controls, and accounting processes to ensure the reliability and accuracy of financial statements.
• Lead and coordinate statutory audits, partnering closely with external auditors and internal stakeholders to resolve complex accounting matters.
• Provide technical accounting expertise and guidance on IFRS, Mexican tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
• Drive remediation plans and process improvements to strengthen governance, reduce risk, and enhance the effectiveness of accounting and reporting activities.
• Collaborate with local and regional finance teams, leadership, auditors, regulators, and external advisors to address accounting, audit, and compliance challenges.
• Support finance transformation initiatives, process enhancements, and the implementation of Group accounting and governance programs.
• Work effectively in a environment shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data analytics and cloud-based tools, using insights responsibly with our standards of data governance, security and ethical use.

Job Summary

The Governance Manager, Accounting & Reporting Specialistis a senior finance expert responsible for the financial governance, reporting quality, and regulatory compliance of Allianz Partners' legal entities in Mexico. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of financial reporting while strengthening governance, controls, and risk mitigation practices. Working closely with local, regional, and external stakeholders, the successful candidate will help drive accounting excellence, support audit activities, and ensure compliance with IFRS, Mexican accounting standards, and tax regulations.

What You Will Do

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting certification is an asset.


• 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, governance, audit, or regulatory compliance.


• Deep expertise in IFRS and strong knowledge of Mexican accounting and tax regulations.


• Proven experience managing complex statutory audits and working directly with external auditors.


• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex accounting issues and implement effective controls and governance practices.


• Insurance industry experience strongly preferred; candidates from other financial services sectors may be considered with significant accounting and audit expertise.


• Experience operating in a multinational or highly regulated environment.


• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple levels of the organization.


• Fluent English required; Portuguese language skills are an advantage.


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
