Job summary

The BMW Group is seeking an Advanced Specialist Metrology to lead GOM measurement operations within the TEM production ramp-up. You will manage a metrology team, ensure measurement accuracy, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and production to meet functional dimension targets.

Responsibilities include supervising daily metrology activities, developing measurement policies, planning maintenance and calibration, and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards while driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in managing and operating metrology operations.
• Good communication, teamwork, problem solving and leadership skills.
• Fluent written and spoken business English.

Responsibilities

• Responsible during the Ramp-Up phase and series production for qualitative target achievement and evaluation of the concepts of functional dimensions.
• Oversee the daily operations of the GOM measurement facilities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Develop and implement measurement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
• Supervise and mentor staff, providing training and guidance on metrology practices and equipment usage.
• Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to support measurement requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Ensure that all activities adhere to company policies and industry regulations.
• Plan needed maintenance and calibration activities.
