Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo, México, seeks an Assistant Golf Course Manager to support the Director of Golf in delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining top-tier golf operations.

You will lead the golf operations team, manage daily activities, and ensure service standards align with Four Seasons luxury hospitality.

Formación

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Golf Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Sports Management or related field preferred.
  • 2–3 years in golf operations, hospitality, or supervisory leadership in resort or luxury golf facility.
  • Strong knowledge of golf operations, etiquette, tournament administration and guest service standards.
  • Proven leadership to motivate and mentor high‑performing teams.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Oversee daily golf facility operations and ensure adherence to Four Seasons service standards.
  • Lead golf operations team with a focus on accountability and service excellence.
  • Assist in golf shop operations, practice facilities, cart staging, and outside services.
  • Welcome members and guests with personalized, professional service.
  • Coordinate tee sheet management, pace of play, and daily activities.
  • Plan and execute tournaments, outings, clinics, and member events.
  • Supervise staff including starters, marshals, and shop associates.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and service recovery promptly.
  • Maintain reservation systems, tournament records, and reports.
  • Ensure cleanliness and presentation in golf spaces and staging areas.
  • Monitor merchandising, displays, inventory, and cart operations.
  • Enforce course policies, safety standards, and pace of play guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Grounds, F&B, Membership and other departments.
  • Support revenue-generating initiatives: tournaments, memberships, retail, instruction.

About the Role

The Assistant Golf Course Manager supports the Director of Golf in the administration of all aspects of the golf operation, ensuring that Four Seasons service standards, operational procedures, and resort policies are consistently followed. In this role, you will oversee the daily operation of the golf facility, delivering exceptional member and guest experiences while maintaining the highest standards of golf operations, team leadership, and course presentation. Ultimately, the Assistant Golf Course Manager is responsible for supporting operational excellence, enhancing guest satisfaction, driving golf‑related revenue, and fostering a culture of service and teamwork.

What You Will Do
  • Support the Director of Golf in overseeing the daily operation of the golf facility, ensuring compliance with Four Seasons service standards and operational procedures.

  • Supervise and guide the day-to-day activities of the Golf Operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and service excellence.

  • Assist in managing golf shop operations, starting procedures, practice facilities, cart staging, and outside services.

  • Welcome members and guests, delivering personalized and professional service throughout their golf experience.

  • Coordinate tee sheet management, pace of play, player flow, and daily golf activities.

  • Assist in planning and executing tournaments, outings, golf clinics, member events, and special programming.

  • Supervise golf operations staff, including starters, marshals, outside services attendants, and golf shop associates.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, requests, and service recovery opportunities.

  • Maintain accurate reservation systems, tournament records, player information, and operational reports.

  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards throughout the golf shop, practice facilities, staging areas, and guest service spaces.

  • Monitor merchandise inventory, retail displays, equipment control, and golf cart operations.

  • Enforce golf course policies, safety standards, pace of play guidelines, and facility regulations.

  • Collaborate with Grounds, Food & Beverage, Membership, and other Resort departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.

  • Support revenue‑generating initiatives including tournaments, memberships, retail sales, golf instruction, and guest programming.

  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all local, state, federal, and company health and safety regulations.

  • Conduct private lessons, golf clinics, junior programs, and instructional events when qualified and business needs require.

  • Support administrative functions including scheduling, reporting, onboarding, training, and operational documentation.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the success of the Golf operation.

What You Bring
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Golf Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in golf operations, hospitality, or a supervisory leadership role within a resort, private club, or luxury golf facility.

  • Strong knowledge of golf operations, golf etiquette, tournament administration, pace of play management, and guest service standards.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, develop, and mentor high‑performing teams.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for luxury hospitality and exceptional service.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and golf management software systems.

  • Basic understanding of merchandising, retail operations, inventory management, and revenue‑generating golf programs.

  • PGA Membership, PGA Associate Status, or comparable professional certification preferred but not required.

  • Golf instruction experience, including private lessons and clinics, is highly desirable.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, guest‑focused environment while maintaining operational excellence.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.

  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, tournaments, and special events.

  • Passion for hospitality, golf, and delivering memorable member and guest experiences.

Schedule & Hours
  • Full‑time position

  • Eight‑to‑ten‑hour shifts

  • Schedule may include mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, tournaments, and special events based on operational needs
