Job Description

Position is responsible for supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for executing deliverables in support of the logistics organization's business objectives.
  • Provides support to key areas within Logistics and/or Containers organization to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded, including customer service, quality, responsiveness, people, product, and financial initiatives.
  • Communicates within the function, with other functions, external affiliates, and regulatory agencies.
  • Supports relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers.
  • Influences others within the organization to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
  • Identifies problems and updates or modifies work methods, especially in complex work areas without defined procedures.
  • Promotes GM's values and makes customer-focused decisions.

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage GMCC inventory in GMNA and IO plants across 20 countries, follow up on shipments, and review proper documentation for destination and customer service.
  • Coordinate and plan activities to ensure timely delivery of shipments based on export cut-off dates or import storage timings.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports to measure operational performance and inform dealers.
  • Monitor routing to assess supplier service performance.
  • Develop deep understanding of yard administration, rail, truck, and customs processes to identify irregularities in supplier reports and ensure reliable final information.
Knowledge:
  • Export and import customs procedures and documentation.
  • Customer service experience for internal customers across different countries.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Business, International Commerce, or related fields.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Power BI.
