Position Overview:

The position is responsible for supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Execute deliverables in support of the logistics organization's business objectives.
  2. Support key areas within Logistics and/or Containers organization to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded, focusing on customer satisfaction, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product, and financial initiatives.
  3. Communicate within the function, with other functions, external affiliates, and regulatory agencies.
  4. Support relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers.
  5. Influence others within the organization to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
  6. Identify problems, and update or modify work methods, especially in complex work areas without defined procedures.
  7. Promote GM's values and make customer-focused decisions.
  8. Remove roadblocks and resolve potential issues or complaints.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manage GMCC inventory across GMNA and IO plants in 20 countries, follow up on shipments, and ensure proper documentation is sent.
  • Coordinate and plan activities to ensure timely delivery of shipments based on export cut-off dates or import storage timings.
  • Develop reports to measure operational performance and communicate with dealers.
  • Monitor routes and develop awareness of yard, rail, truck, and customs processes to identify irregularities and ensure trustworthy information.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Export and import customs knowledge for proper documentation.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Organizational ability, action-oriented, dealing with ambiguity, developing direct reports, interpersonal skills, problem solving, drive for results, managing through systems, written communication.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Business, International Commerce, or related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
