TE Connectivity seeks a seasoned Global Inventory Manager to lead enterprise-wide inventory reduction initiatives across the TE Sensors supply chain. You will own the reduction roadmap, drive DOH/GIR improvements, and partner with Planning, Procurement, and Finance to optimize working capital.

The role requires 8+ years in supply chain and strong SAP/IBP analytics, with proven leadership across regions and functions to sustain efficient inventory practices.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Finance or related field.
  • 8+ years of Supply Chain, Planning, Inventory, Materials Management, or SIOP experience.
  • Strong SAP, IBP Supply, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and analytics capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience leading inventory reduction programs.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and change management skills.

  • Develop executive dashboards and KPI reporting.
  • Define inventory policies and stocking strategies.
  • Support ABC-XYZ segmentation deployment.
  • Lead global inventory improvement projects.

Job Overview

The Global Inventory Manager is responsible for leading enterprise-wide inventory reduction and inventory health initiatives across TE Sensors' global supply chain network. This position drives strategic actions to reduce excess and obsolete inventory, improve inventory turns, optimize working capital, and establish sustainable inventory management processes across regions.

The role partners closely with Planning, Procurement, Program Management, Product Management, Finance, Operations, and regional Supply Chain teams to identify inventory risks, define corrective actions, and drive measurable improvements in inventory performance.

Primary Responsibilities
Inventory Reduction Leadership
  • Own global inventory reduction roadmap and annual inventory targets.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce Days on Hand (DOH), GIR, excess inventory, and obsolete inventory.
  • Lead cross-functional inventory review processes and governance cadence.
  • Establish inventory reduction strategies based on root-cause analysis.
Analytics & Risk Management
  • Analyze inventory trends, aging inventory, reserve exposure, excess inventory, and demand volatility.
  • Identify inventory risks from:
    • Forecast reductions
    • Customer cancellations
    • EOL transitions
    • MOQ policies
    • Long lead-time materials
  • Develop executive dashboards and KPI reporting.
Inventory Optimization
  • Define inventory policies and stocking strategies.
  • Support ABC-XYZ segmentation deployment.
  • Optimize:
    • MOQ settings
    • Safety stock
    • Replenishment parameters
    • Consignment opportunities
    • Lead-time strategies
Program & Process Leadership
  • Lead global inventory improvement projects.
  • Coordinate inventory actions with regional inventory champions.
  • Drive standard work and governance processes.
  • Develop sustainable inventory management practices that prevent future excess creation.
Stakeholder Management
  • Partner with: Supply Chain Leadership, Demand Planning, Procurement, Product Managers, Finance, Manufacturing, Sales
  • Communicate inventory risks and mitigation plans to executive leadership.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Finance, or related field.
  • 8+ years of Supply Chain, Planning, Inventory, Materials Management, or SIOP experience.
  • Strong SAP, IBP Supply, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and analytics capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience leading inventory reduction programs.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and change management skills.
  • Experience working in a global manufacturing environment preferred.
  • APICS CPIM Certified (preferred)
  • Strong people & organizational leadership skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to influence and convince
  • Ability to prioritize very well and maintain appropriate balance in a fast-paced, heavy-workload environment
