Trane Technologies is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure supplier quality and design conformance for components used in our climate solutions. The role involves PPAP management, SCAR handling, and collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing teams to ensure timely corrective actions.

You will lead supplier audits, drive root-cause analysis, and implement robust containment and corrective actions to prevent line stoppages.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3 years in a similar role
• Knowledge of root cause analysis methodology
• Core tools

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes

Responsabilidades

• Ensure suppliers meet quality and design requirements via ongoing assessment of processes and products
• Contribute to supply chain improvements to ensure parts and services meet standards and customer satisfaction
• Verify suppliers comply with quality, technical specifications, and regulatory standards
• Issue SCARs and ensure timely containment and corrective actions
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing and others to ensure material quality and availability
• Monitor supplier performance with quality metrics and risk analysis, drive improvements
• Lead PPAP activities for new components, supplier changes or sourcing updates
• Define clear inspection requirements for incoming inspection area for product lines under responsibility
• Manage supplier nonconformances and associated costs
• Lead problem-solving using 8D, 5 Why, and other methodologies
• Perform process and product audits at supplier sites to verify corrective actions are implemented
