Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams, which build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Global Senior Tooling Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Sr Director Mechanicals, the Global Tooling Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and management of tooling processes across our global operations to ensure efficiency.

What a typical day looks like:

• Defines operational strategy for building, onboarding, and scaling tools across the sites.
• Ensures all mechanical sites are connected and follow E2E Hard tool fabrication process.
• Maintains Global Machine specifications and tooling design standards, ensuring HT design excellence standards.
• Works with all Tooling sites and Global Manufacturing sites to ensure successful tool builds and tooling qualification, ramp up at site.
• Responsible for enhancing existing designs and developing new ones, preparing documentation for tooling and mechanical parts across all Mechanicals sites.
• Manages sites compliance when using PSL strategy for tooling.
• Builds subject matter expertise, stays up to date on industry trends in research tools, and identifies opportunities, methods to drive technical tool, method, and design principles.
• Hard Tool Lead-time reduction.
• Centralized design and qualification of Fixtures, Gauges, Poka-Yoke.
• Tooling Schedules on-time, on-budget.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• BA/BS/MBA in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in tooling design and development within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and tooling manufacturing processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a cross-functional global environment.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
