The Opportunity
The Category Buyer is responsible for ensuring the execution of sourcing strategy and enablement of Facilities transformation categories in Mexico ($44 mioUsd managed). These categories include Security, Cleaning & Canteen.
This role will be supported by MSO FAC Lead and COE Latam strategy to act as a change agent, transforming the category into a regional strategic function. Responsibilities include identifying white-space subcategories, ensure productivity targets and enable innovation agenda, ensuring compliance with regulations, and establishing processes and policies to enhance the delivery of business objectives.
The Category Owner will also lead sub-category projects to achieve regional productivity and innovative ideas.
Your Impact
As Global Procurement Sr. Coordinator your responsibilities would consist of
Strategic Execution: Develop and implement a 12-month local sourcing strategy aligned with the LatAm COE’s 3-year vision.Responsible for implementing the sourcing strategy for the sector and contributing to the development of the sourcing strategy (applying the 8-step methodology).
Spend & Vendor Management: Lead local spend mapping, stakeholder engagement, and the development of a competitive supplier base that enables productivity, technology adoption, and innovation in the short and mid-term.
Transformation Leadership: Drive the indirect procurement transformation agenda, enhancing governance, project visibility, prioritization, accountability, budgeting, and benefit tracking.
Productivity & Innovation Enablement: Identify white-space subcategories and lead regional projects focused on innovative and disruptive solutions.
Cost & Risk Management: Build sustainable inflation mitigation mechanisms to achieve Net Zero Opex Inflation.
Market Insights & Benchmarking: Stay ahead of industry trends, key cost drivers, and best practices to support long-term pricing strategies and potential joint business opportunities.
¿Who Are We Looking For?
Experience: 4+ years in category management or sourcing within Procurement. Desirable experience in Indirect Procurement or Facilities categories is highly desirable, especially within FMCG or Food & Beverage industries.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Strategic & Analytical Skills: Strong financial acumen, business economics, and cost driver understanding.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to build influence, collaborate in matrix organizations, and connect with stakeholders across functions.
Executive Communication: Ability to simplify complex topics and communicate effectively for executive-level communication.
Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and verbal.
Results-Driven & Resilient: Comfortable with change, setting stretch targets, and driving for outcomes.
