Pyxera Global, a non-profit based in Washington, D.C., will be implementing a Global Pro Bono program in Mexico City, Mexico. The program is scheduled to take place in a hybrid mode, with an immersive phase during the week of September 21, 2026. Pyxera Global is seeking university students, recent graduates, or professional translators currently residing in Mexico City to provide interpretation/program support services for the team of international corporate volunteers staying in Mexico City.
The main responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following:
Activities
- Sequential Interpretation or written translation during the program immersive phase (September 21-25, 2026) during 8 regular working hours from Monday to Friday.
- Conduct country specific research as needed to support the consultants.
- Coordination of program activities with Pyxera Global Staff, both local and HQ.
- Act as a cultural ambassador to a team of corporate employees from different countries for the duration of the assignment.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Ability to work with cross-cultural teams
- Native Spanish speaker, with excellent English speaking and writing skills
- Ability to quickly translate from Spanish to English, and English to Spanish
- Strong organizational, facilitation, and communication skills
- Reliability and time-flexibility
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a university degree (Preferably in International Studies, Health related careers, Business, Journalism, Communications, Languages, and Corporate Social Responsibility)
- Interest in local and global issues related to Health.
- Professional language translation experience preferred but not required.
