Job summary

Intuitive Surgical seeks an experienced cost accounting leader to oversee all cost accounting in manufacturing, ensuring accuracy of product costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis aligned with corporate policies.

You will manage standard costing, month-end close, cost reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with FP&A, IT, and factory plants worldwide; require 7+ years in manufacturing accounting and strong Excel/SAP skills; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing accounting or FP&A.
• Strong costing background and standard costing experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Cost Accounting SOPs, SOPs, and Work Instructions aligned to corporate guidelines and SOX compliance.
• Manage standard costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing cost analysis, and ensure timely completion of the Month End Close Process.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly cost reporting and explain variances over Budget and Forecast.
• Support the business with cost-related metrics and internal reporting, as needed.
• Lead yearly cost roll-ups and updating cost standards for the whole Product Operations group.
• Coordinate the standard costing setting activities, calendar, and deliverables, working closely with all plants worldwide.
• Oversee and monitor the Company's Cost Accounting Policies and Processes.
• Coordinate and analyze standard revaluation reserve balance, controls, and related activities.
