Confidential is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant in Monterrey to join a growing manufacturing organization. You will own standard costing processes and partner with Operations to understand how materials, labor, and overhead impact financial results.

The role requires strong BOMs and routings management, variance analysis, and collaboration with Finance, Engineering, and Supply Chain. Experience with SAP, specifically ECC 6.0, is required to ensure accurate costing and inventory valuation.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with significant experience in manufacturing cost accounting.
• Strong hands-on experience with standard costing in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience working with BOMs and manufacturing routings.
• SAP experience is required; SAP ECC 6.0 experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold.
• Experience analyzing manufacturing variances and cost drivers.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both Finance and operational teams.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to understand the bigger business picture.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Professional fluency in Spanish; English proficiency is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Own and maintain standard costing processes for manufactured products.
• Develop, analyze, and maintain product costs based on materials, labor, overhead, BOMs, and routings.
• Review and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing routings to ensure costing and financial data accurately reflect production processes.
• Analyze manufacturing variances, including material, labor, overhead, and production variances.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other teams to understand cost drivers and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support month-end close activities related to inventory, manufacturing costs, and cost of goods sold.
• Prepare and analyze cost reports and provide meaningful insights to management.
• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and standard cost updates.
• Investigate inventory and costing discrepancies and work with appropriate teams to resolve them.
• Support inventory valuation, cycle counts, and physical inventory activities.
• Help ensure accurate and consistent costing data within SAP and other financial systems.
• Support internal and external audits as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve costing processes, reporting, and financial controls.

We are conducting a confidential search for a Senior Cost Accountant to join a growing manufacturing organization in Monterrey. This is a great opportunity for an experienced cost accounting professional who enjoys working closely with operations and understands how manufacturing processes, materials, labor, and overhead ultimately impact financial results.

The ideal candidate will bring strong standard costing experience, hands-on knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing routings, and experience working in SAP, ideally SAP ECC 6.0.

What You're Doing
