Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace seeks a Sr. Export Compliance Officer to develop and implement export compliance policies for Mexico, supporting manufacturing and cross-border operations. The role reports to a US Export Compliance Manager and offers a hybrid work schedule from Mexicali or Chihuahua.

The candidate will lead policy development, audits, and training, while ensuring adherence to US-Mexico export rules and maintaining regulatory records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in trade, business, law, logistics, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in the aerospace/defense industry or a regulated industry.
• Experience with Mexico’s Customs Law (Ley Aduanera) and/or U.S. Foreign Trade Regulation (FTR).

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary focal to support Honeywell Aerospace’s manufacturing and business operations in Mexico as related to export compliance matters.
• Develop and implement export compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to US-Mexico export regulations.
• Perform quarterly compliance audits, assessment, investigation and disclosure.
• Support U.S export authorizations involving HONA Mexico sites and ensure compliance with complex provisos/conditions.
• Integrate export compliance strategy into the local IMMEX program to ensure operational excellence for manufacturing, engineering, repair and overhaul services within Mexico sites.
• Deliver export compliance training to local Honeywell Aerospace employees.
• Maintain complete and accurate records of export activities for regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., MLA, Offshore Procurement).
• Assist with reviewing, updating, and implementing Mexico site technology control plans; monitor regulatory changes and develop action plans.
