Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Commodity Analyst – Procurement Operations to support operational purchasing activities and manage selected commodities for projects in the United States. You will create and manage purchase orders, follow up with suppliers, obtain quotations, and help ensure that materials and services are delivered in line with project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or related field.
• Preferably 5 years in Supply Chain, Sourcing or Procurement.
• Experience with SAP or an ERP system and digital procurement tools.
• Experience in commodity or supply chain management and contract management.
• Proven track record of delivering cost savings and value through strategic sourcing.

Responsibilities

• Participates in buying strategies to purchase and arrange timely deliveries of supplies and materials.
• Serves as liaison between vendors and users, obtaining prior approvals for purchases.
• Resolves delivery, quality or supplier related problems with purchases.
• Prepares requests for quotes and assists in developing new supply sources.
• Evaluates market conditions and pursues cost reduction ideas with suppliers.
• Manages supplier relationships through visits and regular business reviews.
• Negotiates framework agreements and price agreements with key suppliers.
• Processes requisitions and creates purchase orders for materials and services.
• Ensures compliance with company policies, procurement regulations, and ethical standards.
• Utilizes digital procurement tools to manage supplier data and orders.
