Job Description

You will support transportation operations in terms of service, cost, health and safety, quality, food defense, sustainability, legal requirements, and policies compliance. You will provide team leadership and direction for the transportation organization. Additionally, you will implement our transportation strategy and effectively execute operations to ensure optimal logistics solutions while supporting various routes-to-market and balancing service and cost. To excel in this role, you will work collaboratively with internal and external (third-party logistics vendors) business partners to ensure effective management, timely solutions, and execution.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Deliver value by executing the strategy, ensuring optimization across all modes of transportation, balancing service and cost.
  • Be responsible for safety, service, and cost key performance initiatives.
  • Have end-to-end responsibility to serve our customers and work collaboratively with internal and external (third-party logistics vendors) business partners to ensure effective management, timely solutions, and execution.
  • Develop transport solutions and undertake regular business reviews with vendors to review performance and support selection and negotiations.
  • Ensure the right product, in the right quantity, gets to the right place at the right time (damage-free).
  • Manage risk by ensuring continuity of supply through demand forecasting, transportation capacity management, and supplier relationships.
  • Lead the business toward best-in-class practices by innovating and championing continuous improvement through internal and external inputs.

What you will bring

  • Experience in setting and executing strategies in supply chain and/or logistics within a matrix organization.
  • Extensive understanding of transportation operations, third-party logistics management, transportation management software, and/or transportation control tower functions.
  • Experience managing multiple third-party transportation suppliers with significant budgets.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate and build relationships effectively.
  • Knowledge of international transportation network design, customer service, and collaboration.
  • Experience leading and motivating a high-performance team.
  • Financial budget planning, analysis, and reporting skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset focused on continuous improvement, digitalization, and innovation.
