Descripción del empleo

This position will lead the implementation of safety & environmental programs, policies, management systems, and strategies in support of all manufacturing and distribution facilities.

Implement environmental strategies, policies, and practices to ensure safety and compliance with environmental legislation.

Provide direction to facilities on all EHS issues and regulatory concerns by reviewing and updating written safety and health programs.

Negotiate environmental service agreements and manage associated costs and revenues.

Management Responsibilities Include:
  • Typically oversees professional employees/teams OR typically manages non-professional employees through Supervisors in manufacturing, distribution, or office environments.
  • Day-to-day operations of a group of employees.
  • May have limited budgetary responsibility and usually contributes to budgetary impact.
  • Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects and develop new policies or modifications to existing policies.
  • Provide general guidelines and parameters for staff functioning.
  • Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting, and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Chemical, etc).
  • Bilingual: Spanish - English 90%.
  • 10 years experience in a position similar.
  • FDA, Quality system experience (desirable).
  • Great organizational, communication, and leadership skills, demonstrated by previous professional success.
