Job summary

Placements24 en México busca un Gerente de Construcción de Edificaciones para dirigir proyectos significativos en Tlalnepantla, Estado de México. El rol exige liderazgo estratégico y gestión integral desde la planificación previa hasta el cierre del proyecto.

El candidato ideal tendrá amplia experiencia en obras de gran escala, manejo de presupuestos, cronogramas detallados y control de calidad, así como conocimiento de leyes y normativas mexicanas aplicables.

Qualifications

• Licenciatura en Ingeniería Civil, Arquitectura, Construcción o campo relacionado.
• 12+ años de experiencia en gestión de construcción, 5+ en roles senior.
• Experiencia manejando proyectos superiores a MXN 50 millones.
• Conocimiento de métodos, materiales y tecnologías de construcción en México.
• Capacidad para gestionar cronogramas y presupuestos complejos.
• Habilidades de negociación y resolución de conflictos.
• Conocimiento de leyes, regulaciones y normas de seguridad mexicanas.
• Competencia en software de gestión de proyectos (Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore).
• Excelente comunicación y presentación en español.
• Registro como Ingeniero o Arquitecto es una plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervisar la planificación, ejecución y entrega de múltiples proyectos en Tlalnepantla, Estado de México.
• Desarrollar y gestionar presupuestos y asegurar rentabilidad.
• Crear y mantener cronogramas detallados y coordinar actividades.
• Liderar equipos de proyecto, including site staff, subcontractors y consultores.
• Asegurar cumplimiento de códigos, permisos y seguridad.
• Aplicar controles de calidad a lo largo del proceso de construcción.
• Gestionar relaciones con clientes, proveedores y entes reguladores.
• Identificar y mitigar riesgos, con planes de contingencia.
• Realizar visitas al sitio y revisar avances.
• Aprobar facturas y pagos, garantizando exactitud financiera.
• Elaborar informes de progreso para la dirección.
• Supervisar abastecimiento de materiales y negociación de términos.

About the Role

Our client, a major player in the real estate development and construction industry, is looking for a highly competent and results-driven Gerente de Construcción de Edificaciones to lead significant projects in Tlalnepantla, State of Mexico . This role demands a strategic leader capable of managing all facets of building construction, from pre-construction planning through to project closeout. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing large-scale building projects, exceptional leadership qualities, and a deep understanding of financial management, risk assessment, and quality assurance within the construction context. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple building construction projects in Tlalnepantla, State of Mexico .
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
• Create and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating all activities to meet deadlines.
• Manage and lead project teams, including site staff, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, permits, regulations, and safety standards.
• Implement and enforce robust quality control measures throughout the construction process.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as needed.
• Conduct regular site visits and progress reviews to monitor performance and address challenges.
• Approve project-related invoices and payments, ensuring financial accuracy.
• Prepare comprehensive project reports for senior management.
• Oversee the procurement of materials and services, negotiating favorable terms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a senior management role focused on building construction.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects valued at over $50 million MXN.
• In-depth knowledge of building construction methods, materials, and technologies.
• Proven ability to manage complex project schedules and budgets effectively.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Excellent understanding of Mexican construction laws, regulations, and safety standards.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore).
• Strong financial acumen and experience with contract management.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in Spanish.
• Registered Professional Engineer or Architect designation is a plus.
