Placements24 is seeking a Geologist Explorer to join our client in Tlalnepantla, State of Mexico. This field-intensive role focuses on identifying and evaluating precious metal prospects, planning exploration programs, and interpreting geological data to guide drilling and resource development.

The successful candidate will spend substantial time in the field, conduct mapping, geochemistry, and geophysics analyses, and work closely with senior management on budgets and strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geological Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years in mineral exploration, preferably gold/silver.
• Proven mapping, sampling, and data interpretation skills.
• Familiarity with geochemistry and geophysics.
• Experience with ArcGIS/Leapfrog/ioGAS is a plus.
• Strong fieldwork ability and adaptability in remote environments.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Geólogo Explorador to join their team in Tlalnepantla, State of Mexico . This role is focused on the critical task of identifying and evaluating new mineral prospects, with a specific emphasis on precious metals. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing exploration programs, analyzing geological data, and making recommendations for future drilling and resource development. This position requires a strong fieldwork component, significant time spent at exploration sites, and a deep understanding of geological mapping, geochemistry, and geophysics. You will be a key contributor to the company's growth strategy by discovering and defining new mineral assets. This is a field-intensive role requiring resilience and adaptability in diverse geological settings near Tlalnepantla .

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage exploration projects for precious metals and other valuable minerals.
• Conduct detailed geological mapping and structural analysis in target areas.
• Plan and supervise geological sampling programs (rock, soil, stream sediment).
• Interpret geochemical and geophysical data to identify exploration targets.
• Plan and oversee diamond and RC drilling programs, including core logging and assay management.
• Evaluate exploration results and make recommendations for drill targets and resource potential.
• Prepare comprehensive exploration reports, geological models, and presentations.
• Collaborate with senior management on exploration strategy and budget development.
• Ensure all exploration activities comply with environmental regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate geological databases and records for exploration projects in the region.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geological Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mineral exploration, preferably with a focus on gold and silver.
• Proven experience in geological mapping, sampling, and data interpretation.
• Familiarity with various exploration techniques including geochemistry and geophysics.
• Experience with exploration software (e.g., ArcGIS, Leapfrog, ioGAS) is an asset.
• Strong fieldwork skills and ability to work in remote and challenging environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication and reporting skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be willing to spend significant time in the field and travel as required by projects near Tlalnepantla, State of Mexico.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain necessary work permits.
