Placements24 seeks a qualified Geologist specializing in Resource and Reserve Estimation to join our Toluca-based team. The hybrid role combines office work with occasional field visits and close coordination with engineers for integrated mine planning.

The ideal candidate has a strong quantitative background, proficiency in geological modeling software, and experience with NI 43-101 or JORC reporting standards. Fluency in Spanish is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geology with a focus on geostatistics or economic geology.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in resource and reserve estimation for mining projects.
• Proficiency in geological modeling software such as Leapfrog Geo, Vulcan, Datamine.
• Strong understanding and application of geostatistical techniques.
• Experience with NI 43-101, JORC reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication in Spanish.
• Based in Toluca or willing to commute, with some remote flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Compile, validate, and interpret geological data from exploration and mining activities.
• Perform geostatistical analysis to estimate mineral resources and reserves.
• Develop and maintain 3D geological models using industry-standard software.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports detailing resource and reserve estimates.
• Collaborate with mine engineers and stakeholders for integrated planning.
• Ensure compliance with NI 43-101, JORC reporting standards.
• Support due diligence activities and technical reviews.
• Stay updated on latest resource estimation and geostatistics methods.
• Contribute to mine planning and optimization efforts.
