About the Role:

Gen AI Data Engineer

S&P Global Mobility is seeking a Gen AI Data Engineer to join our Data Science and GenAI team. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, goal-oriented, and thrive in a dynamic environment working with diverse stakeholders and teams.

As a Gen AI Data Engineer at S&P Global, your responsibilities will include data analysis, building GenAI pipelines, collaborating on product development, and developing GenAI applications. Your work will support various business objectives, including software development, internal decision-making, and external consulting.

Responsibilities:

• Work on GenAI/LLM data pipelines and applications
• Build agentic frameworks with GenAI
• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code
• Stay updated with industry trends and technologies
• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
• Assemble large, complex data sets meeting business requirements
• Apply strong problem-solving skills for product development
• Collaborate with software developers and ML engineers to implement analytical models
• Develop algorithms for error analysis to improve model accuracy
• Work effectively in a research-oriented, multi-project environment

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Python programming experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields
• Proven experience as a Python Developer
• Knowledge of data mining, probability, statistical techniques, ML, and data pipelines
• Experience with SQL databases
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for stakeholder engagement

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with GenAI/LLMs, langchain, and langgraph
• Knowledge of RAG approaches and implementation
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
• Object-oriented programming in Python
• Knowledge of deep learning and related tools

• Excellent logical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to present ideas confidently and lead technical discussions
• Approachable attitude and strong relationship-building skills
