Pyramid Consulting, Inc. seeks a highly skilled Functional Safety Engineer to ensure the safety and reliability of autonomous robotic systems for vehicle control.

You will assess safety risks, define requirements, and implement measures across the product development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into design, development, verification, and validation of technologies, while adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Formación

• 10+ years of functional safety engineering experience in robotics, automotive, or related industries.
• Proven track record with safety-critical systems and projects.
• Experience with UL 4600, ISO 26262, ISO 13849, ISO 25119, IEC 61508 and machinery directives.
• CFSE/CFSP/AFSP or similar certifications are highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, risk assessment, and safety documentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement functional safety concepts and requirements for autonomous vehicle control systems.
• Perform hazard analysis and safety requirements using HARA, STPA, FMEA, and FTA.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate safety into design and development.
• Review safety verification and validation activities, including testing and simulation.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 26262, IEC 61508, and applicable regulations.
• Prepare safety plans, safety cases, and safety reports; participate in safety audits.
