Capgemini Engineering in Mexico invites a Senior Functional Safety Engineer to join our global engineering team. You will develop and implement safety concepts for autonomous robotic and vehicle control systems, collaborating across hardware, software and systems engineering to embed safety early in development.

You will perform safety analyses such as HARA, STPA, FMEA and FTA, lead verification and validation, and prepare safety documentation and regulatory reports while mentoring project

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 10+ years of functional safety engineering experience.
• Strong experience with safety standards ISO 26262, IEC 61508, UL 4600, ISO 13849, and ISO 25119.
• Hands-on expertise in HARA, STPA, FMEA, FTA and risk assessment.
• Strong understanding of safety integrity levels and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Advanced English proficiency.

YOUR ROLE

• Develop and implement functional safety concepts, requirements, and processes for autonomous robotic and vehicle control systems.
• Perform safety analyses including HARA, STPA, FMEA, and FTA to identify and mitigate risks throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams to integrate safety requirements into product design and development.
• Lead safety verification, validation, testing, audits, and compliance activities in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
• Prepare and maintain safety documentation, safety cases, reports, and regulatory compliance records while providing technical guidance to project teams.
  
  

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Functional Safety Engineering within robotics, automotive, autonomous systems, heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, or other safety-critical industries.
• Strong experience with safety standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, UL 4600, ISO 13849, and/or ISO 25119.
• Proven experience working with safety-critical systems and safety lifecycle processes.
• Hands-on expertise in HARA, STPA, FMEA, FTA, risk assessment, and safety validation methodologies.
• Strong understanding of safety integrity levels, system safety architecture, and regulatory compliance requirements.
