Responsibilities

The Opportunity

The Sr. Fullstack Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in developing modern digital products and AI-powered solutions within PepsiCo’s Strategy & Transformation (S&T) organization. This role focuses on building scalable, intelligent, and customer-centric software applications using Java, Spring Boot, React Native, and Couchbase, leveraging AI to unlock business value.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, technically strong, and business-aware—delivering high-quality software solutions within agile teams and shaping the future of our Digital Products & Applications (DPA) portfolio.

Your Impact

Your scope as Software Engineering Assoc Manager includes:

• Contributing to the vision and supporting cross-functional teams in building and maintaining digital products and applications aligned with S&T priorities, using modern fullstack technologies and AI-driven capabilities.
• Collaborating with UX, Product Management, IT, Data & Analytics, Innovation, and Process Engineering teams to deliver impactful digital solutions.
• Developing and maintaining high-quality cross-platform mobile applications using React Native, with focus on performance, offline capability, and user experience.
• Supporting and influencing software development strategies and best practices, defining the technical roadmap aligned with business goals, especially within Java (Spring Boot) and cloud environments.
• Expanding DPA capabilities by building service-oriented digital solutions leveraging data and AI for smart, automated, and personalized user experiences.
• Identifying, troubleshooting, and escalating delivery blockers, risks, and technical challenges, ensuring stakeholder communication.
• Engaging with business and technical partners to recommend and implement secure, scalable solutions aligned with enterprise architecture.

Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Master’s or PhD preferred
• Minimum 6 years of software development and engineering management experience
• 3+ years experience in architecting fault-tolerant, high-scale distributed systems
• 5+ years experience in developing mobile applications with React Native
• 2+ years experience in architecting fault-tolerant, high-scale distributed systems
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design
• Proficiency in React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Redux, CBLite, Java 17, Spring Boot, Couchbase, JWT, OAuth2, testing, CI/CD, Docker, and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with mission-critical, 24x7 systems, high throughput cloud-native distributed systems, large-scale web services, and design patterns
