Full-Time Professor of Mechanics and Advanced Materials – Monterrey Campus

Location: Monterrey

Responsibilities

• Teaching activities, enriched by an academic and professional training trajectory that imprints a distinctive seal of innovation and leadership on its students, based on the principles, values, and vision of the current planning of Tecnológico de Monterrey. In addition to teaching work, you will attract academic partnerships with internationally renowned universities to develop leading professionals in information technology and digital transformation, as well as engage global companies to participate as Training Partners in the training of their students.
• Teach classes in training units related to Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, primarily on topics such as:
• Mechanical design and systems simulation.
• Traditional and advanced manufacturing processes (such as additive manufacturing, high-precision machining, etc.).
• Automation and control of production processes.
• Applications in mechanical engineering with artificial intelligence.
• Research in the areas of Mechanics and Manufacturing to develop a new knowledge base and disseminate it through journal publications and conferences.
• Research in educational innovation to promote the design and implementation of new teaching and learning methods in the areas of Mechanics and Manufacturing related to mechanical design and smart manufacturing.
• Participation in committees and academic faculty related to the areas of the Department of Mechanics and Manufacturing related to mechanical design and smart manufacturing.
• Participation in collegiate working groups for the design of new curricula and continuous improvement processes for current curricula.
• Support in student attraction and retention activities in curricular programs linked to the Department of Mechanics and Advanced Materials.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Teaching experience teaching professional-level classes.
• Have recent publications as first author in Q1 and/or Q2 journals. (Desirable)
• At least 3 years of teaching experience or experience in research projects, educational innovation, consulting, or information systems development. (Desirable)
