Job summary

FedEx is seeking a warehouse/operations support associate in Mexico. The role involves efficient and safe delivery and pickup of packages, checking labels and content, preparing required paperwork, and seeking opportunities to generate additional business from customers.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and handle packages up to 150 lbs with equipment.
• Able to work variable shifts.
• Experience with warehouse operations and equipment.
• Basic English skills.
• Read, map reading, sorting and math sections of basic skills test.
• Attention to detail and planning skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and safe delivery and pickup of packages.
• Check labeling, legality of content including weight and size, proper wrapping, insurance values, and special requirements for hazardous shipments.
• Prepare paperwork such as airway bills, delivery records, vehicle condition, etc., neatly and accurately.
• Seek additional business from current customers; pass leads to Sales Manager when needed.
• Inform Station Ops. Manager and Sales of changes in customer/competitor efforts.
• Load company vehicles in a safe manner.
• Audit size and weight of packages and boxes and sort.
• Ensure use of safety equipment and full compliance with FedEx policies.
• Operate vehicles safely and perform basic maintenance (cleaning, tire pressure, etc.).
• Assist unloading of customer merchandise, palletize when needed.
• Arrange product on racks with forklift (forklift use limited to certified employees).
• Fulfill physical orders using handhelds, scanner, and PC (WMS/Excel).
• Perform value-added tasks such as product review, kit assembly, labeling, packaging.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
