A Front Office Intern assists in daily Front Office operations and works with customers and Guests as part of a project used to demonstrate your abilities to work in the hotel management sector.

What will I be doing?

As a Front Office Intern, you will assist in daily Front Office operations and work with customers and Guests. Your responsibilities include:

  • Ensure accurate and efficient reception operations, including check-in/out procedures
  • Respond promptly to Guest queries
  • Keep the Front Office Manager and Reception Supervisors informed of guest feedback and departmental updates
  • Demonstrate high customer service standards
  • Understand hotel room categories, rates, packages, and promotions
  • Maximize room occupancy and promote hotel services through up-selling
  • Handle foreign currencies, credit cards, and cash according to hotel policies
  • Answer switchboard calls as required
  • Manage guest deliveries and messages efficiently
  • Follow fire, health, and safety regulations and procedures
  • Use front of house equipment and property management systems correctly
  • Attend training courses as needed
  • Adhere to brand standards
  • Assist other departments and maintain good team relationships
  • Collaborate with your Manager to complete a specific internship project
