Motherson Group, a global leader in manufacturing, engineering and assembly, invites applications for a North American logistics leadership role based in Mexico. You will oversee transportation operations, optimize supply chain performance, and build strong carrier relationships across NORAM markets.

Requirements include 5–10 years in transportation/logistics, cross-border experience, English/Spanish fluency, and a track record of driving cost efficiency in automotive logistics.

Formación

  • 5–10 years of transportation and supply chain experience, preferably in automotive logistics.
  • Experience supporting automotive suppliers and OEM logistics is highly preferred.
  • US-Mexico cross-border transportation management experience is a plus.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead daily transportation operations and carrier relationships.
  • Oversee shipment execution, tracking, issue resolution and customer communication.
  • Ensure timely delivery, reporting and billing accuracy.
  • Drive logistics optimization and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Monitor KPIs and lead continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support FTL, LTL, parcel, ocean and air freight operations.
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers and internal teams for successful execution.
  • Support growth of SMGCL logistics solutions in NORAM.

What you’ll do

Lead and support North American logistics operations, including transportation management, carrier development, customer service and supply chain optimization. Drive operational excellence, cost efficiency, and business growth while managing carrier relationships.


Main Functions:


  • Manage daily transportation operations

  • Oversee shipment execution, tracking issue resolution, and customer communication.

  • Ensure timely delivery, reporting, invoicing and billing accuracy.

  • Lead transportation operations.

  • Monitor carrier performance, KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Support FTL, LTL, parcel, ocean, and air freight operations.

  • Drive logistics optimization and cost savings projects.

  • Provide performance reporting and operational updates to leadership

  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure successful execution

  • Support the growth of SMGCL logistics solutions in NORAM.


What we’re looking for


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field preferred

  • 5 – 10 years of transportation and supply chain experience and automotive logistics industry experience preferred.

  • Experience supporting automotive suppliers, manufacturing plants, and OEM logistics is highly preferred.

  • US-Mexico cross-border transportation management experience is a plus.

  • Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong negotiation, communication, problem solving and decision-making skills.

  • English and Spanish required.

  • 10-15% travel to Mexico manufacturing facilities, carriers, and logistics partners to support operational reviews, supplier development, and continuous improvement activities.
