A global leader in taste and nutrition is seeking a candidate to support the Senior Flavorist in the creation process of flavors. Responsibilities include weighing experimental tests, conducting physicochemical analysis, and maintaining laboratory best practices. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Food Science and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a development laboratory, preferably in the flavor industry. Basic English skills are required.

About the role

This position aims to support the Senior Flavorist throughout the flavor creation process for both internal and external projects. It is responsible for weighing experimental tests, weighing flavors for client shipment, and other laboratory best practices.

Key responsibilities
  • Weighing experimental tests and final formulas for sample shipment to clients (internal and external).
  • Basic physicochemical analysis for test evaluation.
  • Internal triangular testing.
  • Maintaining good laboratory practices: order and cleanliness.
  • Managing expiration dates: project references, raw materials, retained samples, and stock maintenance.
  • Laboratory needs: maintaining balances, agitators, etc., and managing lab materials (glasses, pipettes, olfactory strips, etc.).
Qualifications and skills
  • Educational background in Chemistry and Food Science; Bachelor's or Engineering degree.
  • Ideally, minimum 3 years of experience working in development laboratories, preferably in flavor industry, assisting in various activities. Experience in quality control is also acceptable.
  • Basic written English, especially understanding technical terminology.
