Amentum seeks an experienced Facilities Investment Manager to support a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will oversee the facilities investment program, ensuring maintenance and improvements align with contract requirements while leading multi-disciplinary teams.

This role requires strong leadership, extensive facilities management experience, and the ability to travel internationally. You will work with government representatives, contractors, and internal teams to deliver on time

Formación

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Facilities Manager or in a closely related role managing a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Proven leadership and management experience with a track record of delivering complex projects in demanding settings.
  • Ability to plan and execute facilities investment programs to meet operational, financial, and strategic goals.
  • Knowledge of best practices in facilities management, maintenance, and investment strategies, including cost control and project management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to develop improvements and address challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordination with clients and teams at all levels.
  • Ability to respond quickly to contingencies and emergencies, maintaining availability within designated timelines.
  • Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
  • Passport validity of at least one year at time of hiring.
  • Ability to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. DoS guidelines.
  • Must pass contract medical requirements and maintain deployment compliance.
  • Must obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. US Citizenship required for credentials at this location.
  • Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English.

  • Overseeing adherence to Government standards, policies, and contract requirements related to facilities management.
  • Preparing and delivering management reports on program performance, status updates, and recommendations.

Amentum is seeking aFacilities Investment Managerto support a unique US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. TheFacilities Investment Manageris responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the facilities investment program to ensure efficient operation, maintenance, and development of facilities in accordance with the contract requirements. This role requires leadership, multi-disciplinary management experience, and comprehensive knowledge to meet operational needs and respond effectively during emergencies.


Job Responsibilities:
  • Managing the overall Facilities Investment program, ensuring maintenance, repair, and improvements align with contractual obligations and client expectations.
  • Overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of facility investment projects to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery.
  • Developing and implementing operational goals, objectives, and plans that enhance the long-term value and functionality of managed facilities.
  • Managing multi-disciplinary teams responsible for implementing and supporting a wide variety of facility improvement and maintenance activities.
  • Ensuring effective communication and coordination with government representatives, contractors, and team members to achieve mutual goals.
  • Proactively solving problems through leadership and collaboration, addressing challenges to maintain performance metrics.
  • Being readily available during normal Government working hours to address day-to-day operational issues and provide oversight of program activities.
  • Responding to contingencies or emergency situations, ensuring availability on-site withintwo (2) hourswhen required.
  • Overseeing adherence to Government standards, policies, and contract requirements related to facilities management.
  • Preparing and delivering management reports, including program performance, status updates, and improvement recommendations.

Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum often (10) years of experienceas aFacilities Manageror in a closely related occupation managing a multi-disciplinary environment comparable in scope to the requirements of this role.
  • Strong leadership and management experience with a track record of effectively managing teams and projects in a complex environment.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute facilities investment programs to meet operational, financial, and strategic goals.
  • Knowledge of best practices in facilities management, maintenance, and investment strategies, including cost control and project management expertise.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to develop and implement improvements and address challenges effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to coordinate with clients and team members at all levels.
  • Ability to quickly respond to contingencies and emergencies, maintaining availability within designated timelines.
  • Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
  • Passport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
  • Ability to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.
  • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance for the duration of deployment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and comprehend English.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher inFacility Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Prior experience managing facilities in an austereOCONUS (Outside the Continental United States)environment with a multi-national workforce.
  • Certification in facilities management or project management, such asCertified Facility Manager (CFM)orProject Management Professional (PMP).
  • Familiarity with Navy or Department of Defense facilities management practices, standards, and protocols.
  • Experience managing large-scale facilities investment programs for Government or military clients.
  • Valid country driver’s license.

Working Environment

This position is located on Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT), a remote overseas location supporting U.S. Government operations. Employees may work in office, industrial, warehouse, port, airfield, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements.


Physical Requirements

Requirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments. Must be able to meet all medical, security, and deployment requirements associated with assignment to a remote overseas location.
