Steelcase in Monterrey region is seeking a Finance Supervisor to lead day-to-day accounting operations, drive accurate financial reporting, and mentor the Monterrey accounting team.

You will oversee month-end close, AR/AP, and internal controls, partnering with US and Mexico teams to improve processes and data quality while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and corporate policies.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with 1–2 years in supervision or team lead capacity.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting concepts.
• Experience with month-end close, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Fluent English (written and verbal).

Responsabilidades

• Support month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting activities.
• Monitor operating expense transactions and assist with forecast and budget updates.
• Perform variance analysis and support business performance reporting.
• Review and validate commission, incentive, and other compensation-related calculations.
• Maintain strong financial controls and compliance with company policies.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash application processes.
• Supervise and develop the AR Associates and AP/AR Clerk.
• Manage and oversee the Sales Tax Resale Certificate program, including system administration, record maintenance, compliance monitoring, and support for order and invoice updates.
• Drive process improvements, reporting efficiencies, and data quality initiatives.
• Partner with business teams to resolve accounting issues and support operational decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Accounting roles, with at least 1-2 years in a formal supervisory or team lead capacity.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting concepts required.
• Experience with month-end close, variance analysis, and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Fluent English (written and verbal).

Desired Skills And Experience

• CPA, CPC (Mexican CPA), CMA, MBA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
• Experience with SAP and Power BI/Tableau preferred.
• Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting skills.
• Strong business partnering and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with U.S. and Mexico-based teams.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and process improvement mindset.
• Tax and reporting concepts as desirable for the role.
