Job summary

HSBC Global Service Center in Mexico City seeks a Manager – Finance Operations to lead US Fed Regulatory Reporting, including Call Reports and regulatory submissions. Qualifications

• Qualified professional with post-qualification experience of 5+ years.
• Knowledge of USGAAP accounting and consolidation issues.
• Strong knowledge of the Financial/Banking Services industry, products and systems.
• Flexibility and tenacity for long-running or complex process redesign initiatives.
• Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team.
• Very strong MS Office skills with advanced Excel formulas/macros.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present templates for daily, monthly and quarterly submissions to US stakeholders.
• Ensure timely submission of monthly and quarterly returns to regulators.
• Prepare other analyses requested by internal customers.
• Update Finance FIM annually.
• Engage with colleagues across lines, functions and regions; track risks and issues.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to build consensus and respond to management queries.
• Provide timely reports on consolidation and interaction status, risks and issues.
• Explain processes to Internal Audit and regulators; ensure auditable processes.
