Job summary

Farahi Law Firm seeks a Director of Finance to lead financial strategy across its personal injury practice, overseeing budgeting, cash flow, capital planning, and reporting for pre-litigation and litigation groups with IOLTA compliance at the core.

The role holders will manage lines of credit, litigation funding, and a payments pipeline while supervising finance teams and coordinating with external CPAs. Ten-plus years in finance leadership, CPA or MBA, and advanced Excel are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in the function, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
• Direct experience in leading managers and multi-layered teams with accountable outcomes.
• Advanced Excel modeling and proficiency with QuickBooks or Sage.
• Experience integrating case management software with financial systems.
• Experience with IOLTA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual operating budgets, cash flow forecasts, and long-range financial plans for contingency-based business models.
• Manage LOC, litigation funding lines, and case cost advances.
• Oversee trust accounting (IOLTA) compliance per state regulations.
• Oversee medical lien tracking, settlement disbursement timelines, and cost recovery tracking.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and ensure system integrations.
