Finance Business Partner – Chief Operating Office

Role purpose:

The primary objective of this role is to partner with the Finance Business Partner Americas and the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) of Mexico and LATAM, supporting them in the smooth and efficient running of the Finance team. This includes staff engagement, training, communications activities, managing the change portfolio, managing the department’s cost base, and supporting the CFO in their responsibilities, especially regarding board and governance matters.

Oversight of business management activities such as cost reporting, forecasting, and the annual Financial Results Planning (FRP) process, leveraging the Global Finance COO Center of Excellence where possible.

Additionally, determine specific people initiatives required to maintain an energized, diverse, and skilled workforce within LATAM Finance.

Main activities:

  • Support the CFO Mexico, LATAM, and the Finance Business Partner Americas and their teams to manage various activities, including operating model, organizational design, communication, people initiatives, and core business management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely cost reporting, forecasting, and budgeting, including headcount and position management, and identify cost levers to meet the annual FRP targets.
  • Support leadership on people initiatives such as Diversity & Inclusion, workforce planning, skills assessment, learning & development, succession planning, talent management, and annual survey results.
  • Identify, manage, and escalate non-financial risks within the supported area (excluding Financial Reporting Risk).
  • Contribute to the wider Americas Finance team to enable connectivity and collaboration across the function and support broader priorities.
  • Develop and execute communication plans, including exchange sessions, townhalls, leadership briefings, and organizational change announcements as needed.
  • Partner with the Head of Finance Transformation and Value Stream Leads to support transformation initiatives, mobilize SME resources, and support Business as Usual (BAU) and change efforts to streamline processes and operating models.
