Job summary

ABB is seeking an experienced Electrical Field Service professional to support, test, commission, start-up, maintenance and repair ABB equipment at maritime terminals in Mexico. The role requires on-site customer interaction, planning work with a first-time-right mindset, and clear sense of urgency and care in your duties.

You will join ABB's Automation Marine & Ports division in Mexico, working in a hybrid model with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of professional experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience interpreting single-line diagrams and control schematics.
• Experience with testing equipment (power quality analyzers, megohmmeters, and multimeters).
• Knowledge of NETA ATS standards.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• You hold current American Visa and Mexican passport valid (travel requirement: 60%-70%)
• Knowledge of communication protocols (Modbus).
• PLC programming knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support, test, commission and start-up ABB equipment in maritime terminals.
• Plan and execute work on a first-time-right approach with customers.
• Showcase expertise with urgency and care in responsibilities.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer operations on-site.
• Troubleshoot equipment/process failures and propose corrective actions.
