Job summary

Invenergy’s Los Ramones Energy Center seeks a Field Operator Technician to support the Control Room Operator and monitor equipment performance on site in Nuevo León. The role requires adapting OEM procedures, performing local maneuvers during start-up, shutdown, and emergencies, and collaborating in a multi-skilled, team-based environment.

You will troubleshoot equipment, follow safety protocols, and contribute to KPI achievement while maintaining clear communication with control and maintenance

Qualifications

• Education in plant operations or any bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical or instrument and controls).
• Experience in electric generating engines is a plus.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
• Good verbal and written communications skills.
• Candidates must be willing and capable of becoming multi-skilled and be part of a self-directed work team in a team environment.
• Some English language skills is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate in coordination with the Control Room Operator to support safe, cost-effective operation of the Los Ramones Energy Center.
• Assist start-up, shutdown, normal and emergency maneuvers following operating procedures and instructions.
• Maintain and troubleshoot systems in the power generation facility.
• Contribute to achieving technical and economic KPIs.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis and incident reports for disturbances and near misses.
• Keep work areas clean and professional, and update technical documentation as needed.
• Participate in safety drills and follow safety/environmental procedures.
• Work rotating shifts and be prepared for overtime.
