Job summary

Halliburton is seeking an entry-level MWD technician to support on-site supervision of the Measurement-While-Drilling operations, including tool preparations, data collection, QC and service delivery to the customer in the field. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent with at least three months of field MWD experience; a STEM degree is preferred.

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with at least three months of field experience in MWD.
• STEM degree is preferred for this field position.
• Completion of the basic M/LWD training program is required.
• Must pass company tests or meet task guideline requirements.

Responsibilities

• On-site supervision of the MWD process, including tool prep, data acquisition and QC.
• Deliver services to the customer with accurate and timely data.
• Assist in interfacing with the Directional Driller to ensure BHA compatibility.
• Identify and correct operational problems to minimize service impact.
• Complete required forms, databases and reports (e.g., EJCS, CPI).
