Under general supervision, performs maintenance and repairs on conventional tools, down-hole tools, and other equipment used in down-hole applications. Specializations may include mechanical aptitude, pressure testing, surface equipment, and down-hole tools. Responsibilities include maintenance, inspection, assembly, and disassembly of down-hole tools. Candidates typically need a high school diploma or equivalent, along with 6-12 months of experience as a Tool Technician I or similar training. Basic computer skills are preferred. A valid license to operate commercial equipment may be required. Effective communication skills are necessary due to the nature of oilfield service work. Basic math, reading comprehension, and writing skills are required. Promotes safety awareness and environmental responsibility, ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Participates actively in quality improvement initiatives.
