Placements24 is seeking an experienced Farmacéutico Jefe to oversee the Pharmacy Services and Dispensary Department in Torreón, Coahuila. The role requires a Pharm.D. and an active license in Mexico, with at least 7 years in hospital pharmacy management and 3 years in leadership.

You will manage procurement, inventory, sterile compounding, budgeting, and collaboration with nursing and medical staff to ensure safe, efficient medication distribution and exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in Mexico.
• Minimum of 7 years in hospital pharmacy management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

About the Role

Our client, a major healthcare institution in Torreón, Coahuila, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Farmacéutico Jefe to lead our comprehensive Pharmacy Services and Dispensary Department. This leadership role involves overseeing all aspects of medication management, from procurement and inventory control to sterile compounding and outpatient pharmacy services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of pharmaceutical operations, and a commitment to ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective medication distribution. Requirements

• Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.


• Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in Mexico.


• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in hospital pharmacy management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.


• Proven experience in managing large-scale pharmacy operations, including sterile compounding and inventory management.


• In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, USP chapters, and cGMP guidelines.


• Strong leadership, organizational, financial management, and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.


• Proficiency in pharmacy information systems and automation technologies.


• Demonstrated ability to implement and manage change effectively.
