KIA Mexico is seeking a Senior Facilities & Building Operations professional who will lead facility operations, maintenance, and vendor relationships to deliver a safe, efficient, and exceptional workplace.

You will manage budgets, ensure safety compliance, and drive cost optimization while coordinating procurement, space planning, and continuous improvement initiatives across Mexico City on-site.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in facilities or related engineering field.
• 5+ years in facilities management or building operations.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Vendor and service-contract management experience.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and emergency procedures.
• Budget and cost-control experience.
• Strong communication and project coordination skills.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; fluent English.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for corporate facilities.
• Manage external vendors and service providers per standards.
• Monitor budgets, expenses, purchase requests and service contracts.
• Ensure safety, building compliance, and emergency response procedures.
• Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and workplace amenities.
• Conduct facility inspections and coordinate corrective actions.
• Support office improvement, space optimization, and workplace enhancements.
• Coordinate procurement processes, quotations, POs, and renewals.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities for facility performance.

Overview the position

Senior Facilities & Building Operations; play a key role in creating a safe, efficient, and exceptional workplace experience. You will lead facility operations, maintenance activities, vendor relationships, budget management, and compliance initiatives while identifying opportunities to improve services, optimize costs, and enhance building performance.

Typical tasks

• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities for corporate facilities and building infrastructure.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure service quaity and compliance with company standards.
• Monitor facility budgets, expenses, purchase requests, and service contracts to optimie operational costs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building requirements, and emergency respone procedures.
• Oversee building services such as HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection ystems, and workplace amenities.
• Conduct facility inspections and coordinate corrective actions to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Support office improvement projects, space optimization initiatives, and workplace enhncement programs.
• Coordinate facility-related procurement processes, quotations, purchase orders, and contract renewals.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance facility performance and employee experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Civil Engineeing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Facilities Management, Building Operations, Property Management, or Corporate Services.
• Experience managing preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Experience managing vendors, service contracts, and supplier performance.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, building compliance, and emergency response procedures.
• Experience managing budgets, operational expenses, and cost control initiatives.
• Strong project coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Advance English
