Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of buildings and their facilities to ensure the optimal supply of services such as electricity, compressed air, water, air conditioning, cleaning, building upkeep, and the execution of projects and new facilities, optimizing and avoiding unnecessary interruptions.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise staff in carrying out daily maintenance activities, ensuring safety and resource optimization.
2. Review, approve, and requisition materials and spare parts vital for specific jobs.
3. Follow all applicable Mexican safety, construction, and equipment standards relevant to facilities.
4. Conduct daily plant inspections to assess working conditions, including building condition, cleanliness, machine rooms, and safety.
5. Prepare and review work schedules aligned with safety, hygiene, environmental, and maintenance policies.
6. Implement, execute, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance for all facility equipment.
7. Ensure compliance with insurance requirements to reduce risks and maintain optimal costs.
8. Supervise contractor activities for maintenance, construction, and expansion projects.

Candidate Profile:

I am a motivated professional with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a proven team leader, confident in managing facility maintenance in a manufacturing setting.

Requirements:

• B.A. or equivalent in Mechanical, Electromechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Experience managing permits, registrations, and licenses from authorities (STPS, SPA, SEMARNAT, etc.).
• Personnel management experience and crisis response capabilities.
• Experience in budget management, resource optimization, and cost control.
• Experience in facility projects, contractor coordination, and supplier management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Deep knowledge of industrial safety standards, hazardous waste management, and environmental protection.
• Training and experience in emergency response plans.
• Knowledge of mechanics, electronics, and automation.
• Proficiency in Office Suite, especially Excel, and AutoCAD.
• Skills in data analysis and troubleshooting maintenance issues.
• Commitment to continuous industry learning.
