Caterpillar Inc. in Reynosa, Mexico is seeking a Capital Projects Manager to lead capital project implementations and ensure regulatory and quality compliance.

You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain while developing procedures and evaluating 5-year capital plans. The role requires a mechanical/industrial/mechatronics background with advanced English, plus hands-on experience in SAP PM and AutoCAD.

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/industrial/mechatronics engineering or related field.

• Experience with capital projects (CAPEX, OIA) and project management principles.
• Knowledge of SAP PM module and AutoCAD is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform Asset Life Cycle Analysis (M&E).
• Prepare and follow up on capital requisitions approvals.
• Reclassify labor for capital projects as needed.
• Evaluate 5-year capital projects aligned with strategy.
• Prepare condition reports for machinery and equipment.
• Ensure BIQ compliance for each project.
• Prepare, follow up, and close change letters with registration and surplus.
• Review financial calculations with the financial manager.
• Execute savings initiatives (OIA) and analyze project finances.

Job Summary This position is responsible for managing the implementation of capital projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, maintaining accurate records and documentation of implemented projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain). The role also involves developing and maintaining procedures for project implementation based on resource availability, as well as evaluating 5-year capital projects in alignment with the company's strategic vision.

What You Will Do

• Review and justify capital projects.
• Perform Asset Life Cycle Analysis (M&E).
• Prepare and follow up on the approval of capital requisitions.
• Perform labor reclassification for capital projects.
• Evaluate and justify 5-year capital projects.
• Prepare condition reports for machinery and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with Built-In Quality (BIQ) requirements for each project.
• Prepare, follow up, and close change letters, including registration and surplus.
• Review financial calculations with the OPACC financial manager.
• Execute savings initiatives (OIA).
• Perform financial analysis of implemented projects.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field (e.g., Administrative Mechanical Engineering or Industrial and Administrative Engineering). Advanced English proficiency.

Service Excellence

• Experience managing, planning, and administering short-, medium- and long-term capital projects (CAPEX, OIA).
• Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and compressed air systems management.
• Knowledge of project management principles.
• Familiarity with change management methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Understanding product development, quality, and change management processes.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Advanced knowledge of developing and managing maintenance plans for major equipment.
• Ability to analyze the lifecycle of machinery and equipment.
• Experience with SAP PM module and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with NextGen systems.

Additional Information

• Location: Reynosa, Mexico.
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, with weekend work as needed. Flexibility is required.
• Less than 10% travel (domestic and international).
• Relocation is not available for this position
