About The Team

The Business Services team is a service focused team that process Facultative submissions for the P&C Latin American team and provides a first point of contact for our client's administrative needs.

About The Role

In this role, you will help the team providing support to Swiss Re's Fac Business Services Team, covering the P&C Business Portfolio of Latin America markets.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Provides Facultative Underwriter with support for all non-client facing activities, including accurate data entry in our systems, including:
  • End – to end Submission handling: Critical Data check, system entries and binding Submission set up, underwriting and contract support, review of certificate/slips/endorsements and sending to client.
  • Data analyses: Risk Modelling and Pricing support on Facultative Single Risk
  • Post – Bind process: Requesting missing information from client when necessary, creating / manipulating spreadsheets and pivot tables when necessary to format data
  • Contracts Management : Signature / Stamping, Comparisons, documentation & follow up. Maintain regulatory and Swiss Re Guidelines by updating/storing/tagging information to our systems. Ensure proper documentation and data quality to meet audit requirements.
  • Maintain Current Client Information by accurately entering new contacts and/or updating client contact information in global platform.
  • Coordinates with Underwriting to ensure required documentation is maintained as per local standards. Supports Facultative Underwriter with reporting needs

Provides Business Services with all relevant support within Facultative Team for all non-client facing activities including day to day administration, systems deal entry, support with contract signatures and endorsements, correspondence records management and general business support processes associated within Business Services Team.

  • Provides Business Services with presentations, running reports as needed.
  • Resolves Accounting Discrepancies and Overdue Accounts: contact clients and coordinate with internal accounting department to resolve overdue premiums and/or discrepancies.
  • Local and regional teamwork in order to support and assure process alignment and KPI's

About you

We are looking for someone with an analytical profile, detailed driven, curious, accountable and team player. Interpersonal skills and ability to develop effective working relations in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment.

Must Have:

  • A four year college degree or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Highly motivated individual who can think analytically and proactively
  • Ability to cope with changes in tasks and priorities
  • Ability and willingness to transfer knowledge and experience to colleagues
  • Ability to complete work independently; desire to collaborate in team environment
  • Demonstrates willingness and initiative to seek new knowledge and tasks, question current processes, and suggest improvements
  • A strong customer focus and service orientation
  • Reliable and self-reliant task manager
  • Re/insurance knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of English. Preferable intermediate knowledge of Spanish. You will work on a regional team (Latin America).
  • Excellent organizer, flexible and able to work effectively under tight deadlines
