Outset is seeking a Logistics & Trade Compliance Specialist to oversee international trade compliance for our North America operations, with emphasis on Mexico. The role supports import/export processes, maintains regulatory adherence, and ensures timely, accurate documentation and audit readiness.

The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of USMCA, ERP/TMS proficiency, and extensive experience in trade compliance.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or trade compliance.
• Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs compliance, and USMCA.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Certifications in HTS Codes, logistics or trade compliance are a plus.
• Advanced degree or specialization in International Trade, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
• Experience with automated routing systems and multi-location inventory management.
• Experience in last-mile delivery operations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including USMCA, Mexican Customs Law, VAT Certification (IVA).
• Maintain Annex 24 system requirements, ensuring accurate control of inventory, imports, exports, and reconciliation with IMMEX operations.
• Support CTPAT security criteria, including documentation controls and partner compliance validation.
• Assist in audits related to trade compliance programs (Annex 24, CTPAT, OEA, customs audits).

Position Overview

The Logistics & Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring full compliance with international trade regulations across North America operations, with a strong focus on Mexico–U. This role supports import/export operations while serving as a key compliance control point for customs documentation, audit readiness, and regulatory adherence. The ideal candidate combines strong knowledge of trade compliance frameworks with operational logistics experience, ensuring efficient and compliant movement of goods across borders.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable international trade regulations, including USMCA, Mexican Customs Law, VAT Certification (IVA).
• Maintain and support compliance with Annex 24 system requirements, ensuring accurate and timely control of inventory records, imports, exports, and reconciliation processes in coordination with IMMEX operations.
• Support and maintain compliance with CTPAT security criteria, including supply chain security procedures, documentation controls, and partner compliance validation.
• Assist in internal and external audits related to trade compliance programs (Annex 24, CTPAT, OEA, customs audits).

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or trade compliance roles.
• Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs compliance, and trade agreements (USMCA).
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in HTS Codes, logistics or trade compliance are a plus.
• Advanced degree or specialization in International Trade, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
• Experience with automated routing systems and multi-location inventory management.
• Experience in last-mile delivery operations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
