ETL DEVELOPER (México, Remote)

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a Data Engineer with a strong background in ETL development and SQL querying. Your strengths - you are detail-oriented, self-motivated with the ability to work independently, and thrive under tight deadlines within a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about design and data. You enjoy weaving together data to build a data narrative that drives action. You’re innovative, you have a passion for data analysis, and words like PARTITION BY or UNION ALL do not scare you. On this team, you’ll be responsible for ETL design, development, implementation, support, and data analysis with exposures to various technology stacks and opportunities to hone your design chops.

• Designing and developing HIVE code
• Designing and developing automated solutions
• Performance monitoring and tuning of existing automated jobs
• Troubleshooting failures
• Ad hoc analyses
• Query data to answer business questions and to support investigations
• Engage with subject matter experts to develop metrics and key performance indicators

YOUR PROFILE

• Good conversationalEnglish(B2, C1, C2)
• Strong ETL development background
• BASH experience
• Understanding of YARN and HDFS
• Experience with SQL for analysis and data investigation
• Excellent analytical skills, curious about data
• Ability to think creatively to identify solutions
• Driven, hungry for opportunities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Desire to learn and continue growing your technical skillset
• Outstanding ability to communicate clearly and concisely
• Thorough, take detailed notes and capture correct information

Plus:

• AWS cloud experience (Cloudwatch, Lambda, EMR, Athena)
